Pura Lingsar, Balinesse Life in Lombok Island

In Lombok, there are also a number of temples. One of these temples are located in the village Lingsar Lingsar, Narmada district, West Lombok regency. Located about 9.5 km from the city of Mataram or approximately 7 km from Cakranegara. The biggest and oldest temple in Lombok was built in 1714 by King Anak Agung Ketut Karangasem. Lingsar name reputedly derived from Sanskrit, ling meaning "word" and sar means "lawful" "or" clear ".

Pura Lingsar there a strong link with the history of the arrival of the expedition Anglurah Ketut Karangasem in 1692 AD. When the anglurah meditated at Pura Stage, West Lombok, he received instructions to seek a magical spring that called ATIS Toya hengsar towards the north-east of the venue.

 
When resting near the target area, he was startled roar of Southern forests. Then he headed in that direction and get the springs. Eventually, he built a temple called Pura Lingsar later.

Divided into sections namely complex "twin pools" (the very front), top of the courtyard garden, bencingah page (front bottom kemaliq), a group of temple building (Ulon and Gaduh) fenced wall, groups of buildings kemaliq (including pasiraman), lake ageng (large pool and a long, situated in the south), and Jewel nine (baths) and surrounding areas.

One characteristic of Pura Lingsar area is the presence of a very large springs and abundant. The spring in Balinese called Lake Ageng, while the language Sasaknya aik nausea. 
Aik means "water" and nausea significant "spill out". Pura is therefore often referred to by residents Lingsar Sasak tribe called Pura Aik Nausea.

What distinguishes this temple to other temples in Bali besides specificity and uniqueness in architecture, also because of the Pura Pura Gaduh Ulon and Hindus worship places and in it there is also a revered shrine kemaliq well and being respected by the Balinese Hindu Tribes and Tribal 
Sasak who embraced Islam.That said kemaliq also visited by many Chinese citizens, mostly Buddhist and Kong Fu Tse.

If you come late November or during December, held at the Village Lingsar Topat War held by the Hindus and Muslims as a sign of gratitude to Almighty God for the blessings that are given during the year. 
In this annual cultural event throwing the diamond one another starting at 16.30 pm when hibiscus flowers fall from the branches.
