The story begins when a past event of a disaster drought that swept across the Sentani area, and the impact on the lives of the people of Sentani. Did not wait long, straight Ondofolo Hoboy invite to go buy water of immortality (the water never stops flowing) to Dobonay on Mount Robonsolo.
Rose water purchased from Dobonay, which at the time payment is made to both children Dobonay, namely Bukunbulu and Robonway. Although time the error occurred in the payment, but then problems can be mediated by Dobonay. After getting water, Ondofolo Wali with relatives back home.
Before saying goodbye, Dobonay advised that the trip later, if the meeting should not be hunted animal. Because, if violated, would happen ordeal for them both. But because of human nature, these rules are violated, Ondofolo Guardian and forget Hoboi Dobonay message, instead they hunt an animal that is Cassowary bird.
An arrow shot from Haboy successfully hit a target, but it would surprise the two men were, for the cassowary bird disappeared along with the water of immortality which is carried by both.

Eternal Snow in Eastern Indonesia

Jayawijaya Mountains is the name for the mountain range that stretched lengthwise in the middle provinces of Papua and West Papua (Indonesia) to Papua New Guinea Newguinea on. Rows of mountains that has some the higest peaks in Indonesia is formed by removal of the sea floor thousands of years ago. Although located at an altitude of 4800 masl, fossilized sea shells, for example, can be seen in limestone and clastic rocks contained in the Jayawijaya Mountains. Therefore, besides being a paradise of the climbers, Jayawijaya Mountains is also a paradise researchers geological world.
Jayawijaya Mountains is also the only mountain and mountain in Indonesia which has a peak covered with eternal snow. Although not all peaks of the cluster Jayawijaya Mountains that has snow. Snow is owned by several peaks even at this time is lost due to climate change globally.

History of the formation Jayawijaya Mountains
According to geological theory, originally the world has only a continent called Pangea at 250 million years ago. Continent Pangaea split into two by forming Laurasia continent and Eurasian continent. Eurasian continent burst back into the continent Gonwana who would later become the mainland of South America, Africa, India, and Australia.
Very intensive precipitation occurred on the continent of Australia, plus the occurrence of plate collision between the Indo-Pacific plate with the Indo-Australian on the seabed. Plate collision resulted in the island arc, which also became the forerunner of the islands and mountains in Papua.
As a result of the appointment process is continuous, sedimentation and tectonic events along the sea bottom, within a period of millions of years of producing such high mountains can be seen today.
Evidence that the high mountains of New Guinea and was once part of the deep seafloor can be seen from the fossil remains in rocks Jayawijaya.

Cartenz Pyramide, The Only One Snow in Indonesia

Where can we find snow in Indonesia? Only at the top of the mountains Jayawijaya. Specially, snow on Jayawijaya unlike inthe 4 seasons are just a few months. Snow in one of the highest peak in Indonesia will be there forever.

Jayawijaya Mountain is a mountain range that lies at the center of the province of West Papua and Papua (Indonesia) to Papua NewGuinea on the island of New Guinea. There are six peaks in the Jayawijaya mountain: Puncak Jaya (formerly Peak Carstenz Pyramide), Meren Peak, Peak Northwall, Ngga Island Peak, Peak Sudirman, and Peak Trikora. Peaks with eternal snow peaks exist only in the first four. But unfortunately this eternal snow began tomelt due to global climate change.

Of the six peaks in these mountains, Puncak Jaya is the highest peak to 4884 meters above sea level (masl). Even Jayawijayamountain peaks named as one of the top seven continents. But do you know if the so-called peak of the continent was once the ocean floor? The proof of the various fossil sea shells found on the mountain top. So the dream to the tops Jayawijaya Mountain is not only hikers but also the world's geological research.

Apparently 60 million years ago New Guinea was still on the seabed formed by sedimentary rocks. Long story short in timemillions of years there has been a variety of tectonic activity and sedimentation resulting in the mainland of Papua which is stillfused with Australia. Gradually the land is fragmented and producethe islands and mountains in Papua as we know it today.

There are still many secrets of the rocks Jayawijaya untapped andthere are still many who have never climbed the highest peak inIndonesia. So you choose which one? So rock climbers accomplished or famous researcher? Both can be done in the Jayawijaya Mountains.
