Liwutongkidi Island

Liwutongkidi Island is one of the islands located in Southeast Sulawesi, Buton Regency. This island is one tourist destination so it is easy to reach from the Port of Bau-Bau, using a speed boat sea voyage around 15 menit.pada dated 18 November 2005 stipulated Buton Regency Decree No. 578 of 2005 on Stipulation Liwutongkidi Island as a Marine Protected Area Region.

Liwutongkidi island by the local government of Buton Regency is included as one of the integrated development of the region's Basilica (Batauga, Siompu, Liwutongkidi, and Kadatua). The goal is to develop marine tourism object (submarine) in the district with a rich variety of attractions that baharinya. Expected by the region's Basilica, the tourists desire to visit increased Buton District. Although the island is not so large when compared with other islands in Buton Islands, the island is able to provide a unique feel of the beautiful beaches and charm underwater.

 
The coastline along the island is filled with a stunning stretch of white sand and nuances become more beautiful when combined with the pounding of ocean waves that comb the sand. In addition, the natural wealth under the sea at this island is also interesting to visit. Diversity of coral reefs and underwater biota regularly chime in symphony beauty of underwater scenery.
