New Strait coast is the second most beautiful beach in Bengkalis after Rupat North Coast. New Straits Coastal own name is taken from the name of the village where the beach is located, the New Straits Village, which also became the Capital District Bantan.Bengkalis Government has made the beach as one of mainstay attractions. New Strait coast north of the capital is located in Bengkalis regency. Approximately 7 (seven) miles by the distance of about one hour using two wheelers or four wheels. From Pekanbaru, visitors can use to transport water across the Siak River to the port of Bengkalis. Distance of about 5 (five) hours. Access to other visitors use the landline. Namely, take a bus from Pekanbaru to Siak through traffic lane east of Sumatra. Mileage is approximately 2 (two) hours. From the port of Siak, and then proceed with a fast boat to the port of Bengkalis with the distance of about 2 (two) hours.
In this place visitors can perform various activities, like sunbathing (sun burning) on the beach, surfing, boating, swimming, and fishing. Except that, in the region were also equipped with international-standard port just waiting for the time of operation and ships crossing the ferry (RO-RO) towards Pakning River, connecting it to the Riau mainland and other cities in Sumatra.
